Allyson,

I recently moved the Bev Doolittle print I bought from you to another place in my house. I thought of you and that’s why I’m here now.

I have very fond memories of our working together and your showing me how to make sushi one time at your place.

I miss you.

Allyson, I still think of you often and miss the fun times we had together. I cherish the items you gave me when you moved to Mountain View as they always remind me of you. I can't believe it's been 11 years since you passed away. I miss you.

I knew Allyson for only a short time. I tried to help carry her down Whitney zone. She is an angel now watching over us. My sympathies go out to her family and close friends.

I just heard today of Allyson's death and to say I'm shocked is an understatement. I worked with her at IDT, too. She taught me how to make California Rolls and to this day I think about her everytime I see one.

She was indeed an inspiration. So resilient, upbeat, and fun. I haven't seen her in a long time and am sad that I didn't.

My best wishes to all of her family and friends.

Allyson was always filled with enthusiasm for nature and the outdoor life. She was kind and funny and always warm, even to people she didn't know well, as in my case.

Please know that we are keeping Allyson, her family and our sweet friend Ted in our prayers.

I met Allyson Kumataka at Tohono Chul Park, Tucson, AZ. She was always cheerful and upbeat. She would occasionally pop into our docent training classes to rendezvous with Ted. She had volunteered in the prop house and possessed incredible information on the plants of the Sonoran Desert. Speaking on behalf of the Docent class of 2009, we grieve for Ted Richardson, a member of our class and Allyson’s significant other. Ted, we will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.

I met Allyson when she began working at IDT. She was always strong through breast cancer and came out the winner and a stronger person. Through our mutual friend, Cindy, we spent some wonderful times together and shared the experience of being brides maids for Cindy’s wedding. Our friendship continued once she met Ted and we had some great evenings with them full of laughs and games. Once she returned to California, she organized groups – both family and friends – to come and enjoy music at our wine bar. What a supportive and lovely person she was and she will remain in my heart. She has been an inspiration to us all and she will be truly missed. Our prayers go out to Ted and her wonderful family. God bless.

Each encounter with Allyson was a joyful experience. We both remember the very first time and the last time we spent time with her and many other great times over the years when we were blessed to be able to share many great experiences with Allyson, on and off the golf course. There were times Golfing, walking along the ocean, sipping wine, enjoying meals in the SF Bay area, San Diego,Florida, Laguna Beach, Hawaii and when she and Ted would visit us in Pismo Beach. We will always remember her warm smile, big
heart and her joy of life. Our good friend has passed on to her next phase. She will be missed but will always have a place in our heart and memories.

Deep condolences to Ted, Kristen, Allyson's mother and the rest of her family.

In the short time that we came to know Allyson in Marana, AZ we immediately recognized what an extraordinary person she was: energetic, ever smiling, and truly caring about people, creatures, plants and enjoying life. She is truly gone too soon.
Our sincere regrets and prayers go out to our dear friend, Ted, and the family.

From the first day we shared a glass of wine, as we both moved into the Tucson houses, till the last time I saw Allyson at a dinner in San Juan Bautista, she was always special to me. We golfed together…….took long walks….laughed….had conversation about Ted….enjoyed each others conversation and always looked for ways to have fun. I will miss her very much. Her memory will be with me always and as the years pass on I will reflect on our times together……much to short. My deepest sympathy to Ted and her wonderful family.
