Andy was a dedicated consumer help columnist who helped thousands of readers during his decades serving readers of The San Jose Mercury News.
I had the honor and good luck of working with Andy for several of those years. He was one of the few people at the paper to believe in my abilities and persuaded management to give me a shot. I'll always be grateful for that. But mostly, I'll remember his love of life, of laughter, and his family.
Rest in peace, my friend.
