Mom, we still miss you so much. Fathers' Day is just around the corner and, honestly, I'm going to miss spoiling Dad with you. So many memories made in the front rose garden of cold beer, fried chicken, and laughter. I miss you! Love, YSWMAD

Well, Barbara coming up on the second anniversary of your parting. Debra, Bob Irwin and I went to Pearl Harbor for Bob's 7 December 2013 Pearl Harbor Survivor ceremonies last week for three days. It was Debra's first time in Hawaii. She was overwelmed. Gave Debbie your rare tiny puka shell neckless and she cried. We all love and miss you. Frank Broz, husband

Hello Sweetheart. On Wednesday, 19 December 2012 you will have been gone one year to date. The love your many friends and I have for you is as strong as ever.

We wish we had had more years to get to know Barbara at the local chapter of Transplant Recipients International Organization but, unfortunately, her declining health began to keep her from our meetings not long after we became members. But we soon learned how much influence she had in maintaining a strong organization. We have benefitted greatly from its support, education and friendship, and for that we are deeply grateful to Barbara. That is her legacy to all transplant recipients and their families.

Dear Frank,
I have happy memories of stamping TRIO newsletters with Barbara at your kitchen table and of lunching with you and Barbara in Willow Glen. Barbara was uncommonly smart and fun to be with (and so are you). I admired the bond you shared for more than 50 years, and wish you comfort as you move forward. Memories are forever!

Dearest Uncle Frank,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your life long partner Barbara. She was a great lady and has touched the lives of many so her memory will always live on. This past Christmas my mom pointed out the SJ Sharks ornament she gave to me one Christmas close to 20 years ago, this ornament will always have a special place in my heart and on my tree.
I don't know when I first met you and Barabara but I'm sure I was very young so I've had the pleasure of growing up with her in my life.
She will be missed a lot. Please let me know if you need anything and when you are ready I've got some of Vernon's beer waiting for you.
Love Always,
Kathleen Reding

I first met Barbara at Vasona Skilled nursing Home,as her roomie in August, 2011. We quickly became special fiends, living side by side 24/7 for 34 days. We often could not sleep at nite so I would go to the kitchen and get us strawberry or chocolate ice cream. It was over these spoonfuls of ice cream, eaten in the dark, that we shared so much of ourselves with each other. You will never know what comes up in discussion, in a situation as we were in. I loved this couragous woman and her beloved Frank. I don't think I have ever known such an unconditional love as the love Barbara and Frank shared. My heartfelt sympathies go to Frank as he struggles during this sad time and forever. And to Barbara......Sleep now, my precious friend Barbara, you suffer no more.

I first met Aunt Barbara when I was a child, seeing and enjoying her love and humor at family gatherings. She and my Uncle Frank were always cheerful and kind to me and my children down through the years. I admired her courage in facing a transplant and her unfailing good will and support to others. My heart is with Uncle Frank in this dark time of losing her. She will be sorely missed.

We have known Barbara since 1948 when we were friends at church and High School in San Luis Obispo. We have 63 years of "Barbara Memories" that included many good times of fun and laughter. Especially remembered were the daily walks to school with Barbara, Cookie, Joyce and Dorothy. She was a good friend and will be missed.

I was a student at San Jose High School in 1960/61. I worked extensively. In the office with Barbara and never forgot her professional training she gave me and her friendship at that time. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

When I was hired as a probation officer, in 1979, after working for six years at the Ranch, Barbara was one of the few that was willing to help me gain the knowledge needed to succeed. She was a true mentor, and I will always remember her with fondness and great respect.
