Ben F. Ivy

Ben F. Ivy Benjamin (Ben) Franklin Ivy III, 69, of Palo Alto died on Thanksgiving Day at home. Born in Bremerton, Washington to Edward and Ada (Steele) Ivy, he graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Cornell University and received his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Ivy was President of Ivy Financial Enterprises, Inc. a Registered Investment Advisory firm and a Certified Financial Planner with Associated Securities Corporation. He was a pioneer in the concept of comprehensive financial and estate planning through a very successful series of lectures and workshops. Ben has provided investment advisory services to individuals and corporations since 1964. An avid golfer, he was a member of Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Ivy, also a Certified Financial Planner; his two daughters, Britt Annemarie Ivy and Zenah Blair of Ashland, Oregon; and a sister, Betty McConkey of Union, Washington.
