You have been gone for a year but it feels like more
We will never forget the son, brother, nephew and cousin we adore
Life as we know it has been swept away,
Memories of you are with us each day.
We will never forget the bright light you flared
The laughter, the love, the wit that you shared.
Now that you're gone our family is incomplete
All we have is memories which are so bittersweet.
We've never known such heartache and pain
Each day is a challenge but we go on in vain.
Perhaps our wounds are never intended to heal
A constant reminder this past year seems unreal.
Even though you are gone, you're very much alive
You will always be in our hearts and our minds.
We love and miss you, Buck!
