Carl John Stoscher

Carl John Stoscher A 34 year resident of Los Altos, died on May 04, 2005 at the age of 91.

Carl was born in Graz, Austria, May 11, 1913 and came to the United States thru Ellis Island at the age of 13. He lived in Erie, Pennsylvania where he met Corinne, his wife of 67 years, and raised two sons and a daughter. He rose through the ranks working for Zurn Industries for 29 years until his family came to California in 1956 where he worked as a rare metallurgist for 34 years at Western Gold and Platinum (a GTE company) which later was acquired by Verizon. He loved playing his violin and growing all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Edelweiss is still resounding over the roof tops of Los Altos. He and Corinne are long time members of Los Altos Baptist Church. His music and love lives in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Corinne Stoscher; and sons, Dennis and John, and daughter, Karen. Carl has seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
