Carol Kerscher Ellison

08/10/1917 – 07/05/2007Carol passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 89. She was born in San Francisco and spent her younger years growing up in San Mateo. She moved to Los Altos with her family at the age of 22. Carol was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G Ellison for 58 years. She is survived by her son, Tom Ellison, granddaughter, Karris Ellison, sister, Lorraine Anderson and nieces and nephews, Carole Wilson, Janet Pratt, Jodi Ridgway, Donna O'Hara, Laura Val, Catherine Hooper, Chris Anderson, Jim Ellison, Patrick Ellison, Robert Ellison and Eileen Ellison.Carol traveled with her late husband during World War II as he did his flight training and then endured the fear and uncertainty while he was a prisoner of war in Germany. Besides the love of her family and friends, her other great joys were gardening and volunteering for St. William Catholic Church. She will be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday 7/17/07 at 11:00 a.m. at St. William Church, 611 South El Monte Avenue, Los Altos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter, 657 Mission St., Suite 603, San Francisco, CA 94105.
