Constance Enzensperger Obituary

Constance Percy Baker Enzensperger
Resident of Rancho Murieta & Santa Cruz
Connie Baker Enzensperger passed away on July 23rd from Multiple Symptom Atrophy. Connie was born on September 28, 1937 in Norwood, MA. to William F. Percy and Helen Flynn Percy the middle child of five, in a gregarious family of Irish and English decent. In July of 1950 the family moved to San Jose, making the move from coast to coast on United Airlines. This was a life altering experience as Connie made up her mind that when she grew up she would become a United Airlines Stewardess.
In San Jose Connie attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and then on to Notre Dame High where she held class and student body offices, was voted Junior Prom Queen and attended dances at Bellarmine and St. Pat's Youth Center.
After attending San Jose State for a brief time Connie left to become a Stewardess with United Airlines realizing her childhood dream. Connie flew out of San Francisco, taught at the stewardess school in Cheyenne, Wyoming and then was selected for public relations work on behalf of United. Doing special charters during the 1960 Presidential Campaign she was assigned to the Washington National Press Corps.
Upon leaving United, Connie lived for a brief time in Manhattan Beach enjoying life with many of her airline friends. Returning to San Jose she met and married Attorney, Robert Baker. During the following ten years she raised 2 stepsons and an adopted son, enjoyed playing tennis with her friends at Courtside and on her home courts in Los Gatos.
In 1982 Connie began what would become a stellar career in Commercial Real Estate with CPS. An immediate success and the top salesperson during many of her 20 plus years with CPS, she was also mentor to many young realtors who began their careers under her tutelage.
Retiring in 2003 she met Kent Enzensperger, formerly of San Jose but now residing in Rancho Murieta, they married in 2007. Connie and Kent spent the years golfing, traveling and dividing their time between Connie's Santa Cruz condo and Rancho Murieta.
Connie was an active member of Rancho Murieta Kiwanis, the Rancho Murieta Country Club, Clipped Wings and Notre Dame Alumni. She loved her two labradoodles, Katie who passed in 2013, and Lace who survives her. Many hours were spent enjoying "dog park afternoons" with friends in Rancho Murieta.
Preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Bill Percy, and her late husband Robert Baker, Connie is survived by her husband, Kent Enzensperger of Rancho Murieta, her stepsons Fletcher Baker and his children Dylan and Jess of Campbell, Casey Baker and his son Steven of Concord and an adopted son Mathew Baker of San Jose. Also survived by her sisters Patricia (William) Lytle of Rancho Murieta, Katharine (Phillip) Danz of Gold River, brothers William (Irene) Percy of San Jose, and Dennis Percy of Qatar. Beloved aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 13th, at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Murieta. A reception will be held immediately following at the Rancho Murieta Country Club, 7000 Alameda Drive, Rancho Murieta.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to Special Olympics of Northern California,1401 Halyard Dr. #100, West Sacramento, CA 95691.
