Dan will be remembered for his love of sports and his dedication to youth sports as a parent, umpire, and coach for Little League baseball. Upon retirement he spent his time studying family genealogy, creating art with stained glass, and gardening. The light of his life however was being "Poppy" to his grandson.Dan's courageous struggle against cancer was the ultimate measure of his love for his family. His family was blessed to have been loved so deeply by such an extraordinary individual and he will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.Private services will be held at Lake Tahoe at a later date. I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. We grew up together in Palm Haven & he was one of my closest friends. We shared a lot of good times together & I am sorry we didn't stay in touch in later years. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Dan left his imprint of Love on your hearts and on many other hearts in his world. What greater legacy could there be? We will remember precious moments shared and think of him always as we continue to enjoy his stained glass work of art of beautiful pick flowers. We wish you God’s comfort as well as comfort of kind, loving memories.

Dan was a good man and a good friend, I only wished that I had maintained contact with him after I retired. My thoughts are with you at this time.
