Grass Valley, CA
Passed away peacefully in Grass Valley, CA after a long and adventurous life. Born in Millbrae to Edward and Mary Scanlon. She graduated from San Mateo High and attended College of San Mateo. She lived in Washington state for 6 years before moving to Belmont where she resided for 64 years. She worked in accounting for Western Gear Corp. and retired from the San Mateo County Clerk's office in Redwood City. She was a den mother and Girl Scout leader and loved hiking, travelling, dancing and gardening. She loved books and read the newspaper daily all of her life. She was a long-time member of the Belmont Women's Club, the Belmont garden club and the SM County Retirees Assoc. and she loved visiting her friends at the Belmont Senior Center.
She was predeceased by her parents, her aunt Dora, and her brothers, Charles, James and Robert Scanlon. She is survived by her sons, Richard and Thomas Wilcox and her daughter Ginger Schock (Curtis). Also her grandchildren, David Wilcox, Steven Wilcox and Sarah Fazekas and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Carter Wilcox and Felix and Lyra Fazekas.
She was a loving and special lady and she will be greatly missed.
