Resident of San Jose
Edward Lorne (TED) Pranschke passed away at his home on Dec 24, 2013. Born on Feb. 13, 1931 to Clifford and Eleanor Pranschke in Ontario, Canada. Ted served in the Canadian Army before moving to the United States in 1960. He owned and operated a successful construction company for over 30 years. He received a heart transplant at Stanford Hospital in 1997. Ted was an excellent pilot and an avid golfer. He was a member at Castlewood G&CC, Rancho Murieta G&CC, Alamden G&CC, before relocating to The Villages G&CC. He was married to his wife, Doreen for 62 years and had 2 sons, Clifford and Ted Jr., 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He had 2 brothers and 1 sister. Ted was a great man loved by many with a great sense of humor. A Celebration of Life for Ted will be held on Sun, 1-5-14 12pm at The Villages G&C Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of The Valley, 4850 Union Avenue, San Jose, CA or to your favorite charity.

I will always remember Ted as happy and friendly, a wonderful man to know. He, clearly was Doreen's darling, and he professed his love for her to the end. Lucky couple to have had so many years together.
