Brother Edwin Paul Shiras, SM (Marianist), son of Russell and Wilmar (House) Shiras. Born in Long Beach, CA on October 9, 1934, professed first vows August 15, 1953, perpetual vows on April18, 1959, entered into eternal rest on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 in Cupertino, CA. Survived by his sister Alberta (the late John Hare), sister Sister Alice (Little Sisters of the Holy Family), sister Ester (the late Thomas Cox), brother Paul (the late Coleen) and many nieces and nephews.
His ministry assignments include: St. Louis High School, Honolulu, HI; Chaminade College of Honolulu, HI; Villa St. Joseph, Santa Cruz, CA; General Administration, Staff Member, Rome, Italy; Chaminade College Prep, Maintenance Staff, West Hills, CA; Marianist Center, Chaminade University, St. Louis School, Maintenance Staff, Honolulu, HI; Archbishop Mitty High School. ETV Staff, San Jose, CA; Commercial Employment, San Anselmo, CA; Marianist Center, Retirement, Cupertino, CA.
Private Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, April 12 at 11:00 am (Pacific) Marianist Community, 22683 Alcalde Road, Cupertino, CA. (Google Meet link: meet.google.com/fcf-pkdn-qhp) Interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marianist Province of the USA, 4425 West Pine Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108.
