Eric, was my best friend in highschool. He was an amazing person. His sense of humor was wicked and he went out of his way to make you laugh. We had a group of friends. Eric, myself, Danny Harrison and Buffy Johnson. We did everything together. Eric was a true friend.
I miss him daily. I think of him often. I'd love to talk with you Kelly and meet his son. Please get in touch with me on facebook.
All my love to you both

Thank you everyone for your entries. Some of you I know in person and some I have heard of from stories Eric used to tell me. I know he had such a full life, but still have a hard time with him being gone. Knowing that our son will grow up not really knowing what a great guy his daddy was. Definately the world is a little darker now that he is gone. I really appriciate everyones comments, I can keep them for the kids and they can know how many people enjoyed spending time with their daddy.

What a shock…I learned of Eric’s passing while attending a funeral this weekend for Jeff Hofmann’s two-year-old son. Some of you may know Jeff from the Los Gatos HS class of 1989. I graduated in 1990 and have many fond memories of pool parties at Eric’s house. He truly was a sweet guy with a heart of gold. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their nice notes. I still can't believe my li'l bro (6"1, 260!) is gone. I miss him everyday. As they say, you don't ever get over it, you just get used to living with the loss somehow. I hope to see you all at the celebration of Eric's life at Vasona on June 21st. He had such a strong spirit and so much love to give. I bet we'll feel it there that day! With love, Holly

Dear Hamner Family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Eric was a great guy and will live on through his children.
We have fond memories of spending time with him in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It was his birthday and he won a HUGE sum of money in the slot machines. As I recall, he called you as soon as he collected his money to share the good news. He loved you all more than anything.
You are in our prayers.
Love,
Margret and Matt Greene

Dear Hamners -- This is just lovely. Our children, Janet and Katie, grew up with Eric and Holly and spent many wonderful ski vacations together in Bear Valley. We had some pretty exciting camping trips, too, with the Hamners and the Carlsons -- Eric's Aunt Roberta, Uncle Glenn, and cousins Jennifer & Greg. Those were the best times.
Love you, Jeanie & Larry Miller
