My condolences to Erika's family. I just learned of her passing on the AOL book boards that she used to post to. I always enjoyed her book reviews and book recommendations. She will be missed there.

People step in our life and accompany us for a while. Some remain for good, because they leave their traces in our hearts.

Erika was such a pleasant, intelligent on-line friend. We have all shared a special relationship on the internet, one I'm happy to have begun with her company. I'm so sorry to hear of her untimely passing. All of my sympathy to the family.

Fran,(Frank)..We haven't seen each other in years, and I never met your wife or children. I have no words that can soften your loss. I saw your Mom last week in Florida, and I know she is quite upset, and worried for you. Everyone offers prayers and thoughts, and I do as well.

I knew Erika through her book postings on AOL, and was very sad to hear of her passing. It's true, people often don't know how many lives they touch. She will be missed in this online community.

I was so sorry to hear about Erika's untimely passing. I met her in our on-line book group years ago, and came to feel like I knew her personally. She always shared her wonderful travel pictures with me and I can tell from them what a wonderful, loving family you all are. I will really miss reading her posts, and offer all the family my deepest sympathy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Erika and her husband once during our time in Northern California. She was such a pleasant person and we had such a good time discussing books. We "met" on the AOL book board where her wonderful comments will be greatly missed.

All of Erika's online book friends are so saddened by this terrible news. She was such an integral and vital part of our community and those who met her in person, like myself, were doubly blessed.

Dear Frank, Beth and Brendan,
We will always remember Erika's kindness. We had the pleasure of getting to know her over the past three years as she so graciously opened her home to us as we visited Beth at Stanford. We are shocked and saddened by her passing. Our prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
With love,
Peg, Joe, Cassie and Beth Rabenstine
