Erika Diehl Obituary

Erika Else Diehl
Resident of San Jose
Passed from this life on April 4, 2015 in Saratoga, California.
Born in Pforzheim, Germany to Rosine and Emil Meyer on Nov. 25, 1921. Predeceased by husband Heinrich. Mother of Andrea Holding (Robert), Jutta Brassill (Pat), Elmar, Heino (Vicki), and Rudy. Grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 5. She was also loved by and leaves her brother Hans-Peter Meyer, his wife Traudel and their family in Canada.
Erika lived a full life with early years greatly influenced by world events. Married to Heinrich in 1947, they immigrated to California in 1957 and Erika's main focus turned to raising her children and baking wonderful cakes. She and Heinrich both had lovely singing voices – a trait that sadly was not passed on to the next generation.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Fatima Villa for their loving care. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Villa, 20400 Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd., Saratoga, CA 95070 or at www.fatimavilla.org.
Memorial service will be scheduled.
