Ezekiel Duru Obituary
Resident of Menlo Park
Ezekiel Duru, 31, passed away Thursday, February 20th, 2014. He was born on September 17, 1982 to Adrienne and Emmanuel Duru. Zeke graduated from Aragon High School in San Mateo in the class of 2000. He worked as a line chef at The Mark Hopkins from 2003-2004. His love for food and cooking, then lead him to studying at the California Culinary Academy, in San Francisco from 2004-2005. Zeke then got to explore his cooking skills as a Kitchen Manager at Google, in Mountain View from 2004-2008, until Facebook scouted his talented hands and phenomenal creative abilities to produce a taste of heaven for every soul, from 2008 to present as an Executive Chef. He took pride in his cooking and spread his love through his food. He was a friend to all and everyone who met him felt a special connection to him. He loved life and it was seen in his beautiful smile and heard through his infectious laugh. Ezekiel was survived by his mother Adrienne and his father Emmanuel, his brother Steven Duru, his sisters Roberta Silva, Chelsea Eichner, and Paige Smith, his stepmother Virginia Wick, his aunts Nancy Seitz and Paul Jean Davis and all of his friends who loved him dearly. His wonderful spirit will be celebrated on Friday February 28th, 2014, at 10 AM, at Saint Charles Church in San Carlos, Ca.

The last time time I seen you was on my birthday. I was on a date with a new potential love. We seen each other in the window and I literally got up and ran outside to say hi to you. I felt rude just leaving my date like that but I had to say hello to you and I'm happy that I did.
