Resident of San Jose
Flora passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 70 years; Tomas Romero, as well as Daughter-in-Law Donna, Granddaughter Julianne, and Great Granddaughter, Tara Marie.
She is survived by 11 Children; Tommy (Victoria), Emma (Ivan), Larry (Donna), Leo (Marian), Mary (Rod), Dorie, Frank, Joy, Kathryn (Glenn), Cammie (Don) and Loretta, 18 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Mom was one of 15 children raised in New Mexico, and has two surviving siblings; Henry Ulibarri and Antonia Aragon.
Mom and dad lived in many different cities/states during the first 20 years of their marriage. She worked many jobs alongside dad in his various businesses as well as raising 9 children. In 1959, Mom and dad moved to California where they finally planted roots and had 2 additional children. Mom became a full time homemaker also caring for Grandchildren and other neighborhood kids. She always had food cooking on the stove for any relatives or friends who would drop by. She was a friend to everyone and loved by all.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Rosary on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 6:00pm at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Queen of Apostles Church 4911 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos, CA.
