I LOVE YOU DAD

August 18, 2014

Hi Dad,
I love you soooo much. I miss you terribly. I'm so sorry that so much time passed and I am very sad that I didn't get to hold your hand one last time and tell you I love you. But I know in your heart you knew then and now that I love you forever. I will hold in my heart the love we had for each other. I will remember all the good times and everything you did for me. You were the only one in my life who made things happen and I thank you for that. You never let me down. When you said you were going to do something it was done. I will cherish all the driving memories. At the age of 7 when you let me drive around Lexington dam and I could barely see over the dash and I burned rubber for days when I took off because you let me do the gas and everything and we laughed like crazy for hours. To this day that was probably the hardest I have ever laughed in my life. I also won't forget taking off your boots after a long hard day of work and giving you your nightly neck massages. I used to wait for you to come home so that we could grab our poles and go fishing just you and me. I loved being with you. Martins Beach, Deadmans camp ground fishing for trout, going to the cliffs in the camper, Princeton, Capitola fireworks on the Beach. You always made sure we had the very best and plenty of it. Even our own stashes. haha I will never ever forget you Dad (Big D) You are so loved now and forever in my heart. Thank You for being you. I find in my life as a 43 year old women that I can say I am like my father in all the great amazing ways that you were. You taught me a lot and I am thankful for you. I am so sorry for all the past Dad but no matter what I know you loved me and you know I loved you. I was your daughter and you were my father and no one can ever take that from me. You will be missed so very much. Rest in peace Dad and please keep watch over me. We will be together again someday.
Love, Monique

P.S. ONE MORE SHOT JUST FOR OLD TIMES

So many wonderful memories of my sweet uncle and god father -- from early in my life fishing and camping in Jacksonville to back yard BBQ's and swimming at Papa and Gramma's house. Uncle Gary was always there to keep things lively. He was loved by all and will be missed a great deal.

I will always remember with great happiness our countless lazy days smelting in the surf at Martins Beach. You were the best brother-in-law.... until we meet again!
