Gene Fields Obituary

Gene Lowell Fields
Nov. 10, 1931 - Sept. 14, 2018
San Jose, California
Gene Lowell Fields passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gene positively influenced many lives with his generosity, his gift of listening and his ever present humor.
Gene was born in Dexter, MO to Floy Faye Snedecor and Norris Vetus Fields. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1959. He received a Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Psychology in 1961 from the University of Missouri. Gene's career spanned 35 years with Lockheed Missiles and Space in Sunnyvale in their Human Relations Division.
Gene is survived by his adoring wife of 58 years Edie; devoted children Keith Irvin (Kathy) of St. Charles, MO, Kellie Barrow (Jimbo) of Menlo Park, Lisa Coe (Mike) of Sunnyvale, Stacy Aumack (Brett) of San Jose, honorary "adopted" daughter Margarita Damian as well as wonderful grandchildren Scott Barrow, Brian Barrow, David Coe, Clarissa Coe and Ethan Aumack. He is also survived by his brother Bob Fields of Atlanta, GA. His fun loving spirit and wisdom will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please pay kindness forward. Gene often paid the bridge toll of the stranger behind him or made a special meal for family and visitors. It would be a great tribute to know his life was honored by doing something kind for someone else.
