I remember Gigi as a lovely, gentle girl who was very bright, fun to be with and always kind. I am very saddened by her passing and will be praying for her and her family.

I met Gigi through my sister Lisa and their mutual friend, Barbara. She was a kind friend who did not mind a little sister tagging along. She had a beautiful, shy smile. I am sorry she is gone. My best thoughts to her family- I know that she is watching over them, in her quiet way.

I met Gigi in kindergarten at Pope Avenue School in Sacramento where she was my best friend through third grade, then we ended up in different classes. We went through elementary, junior high, high school and parts of college together. Later Gigi was my dentist in Oakland and the sealants that are still on my bicuspids are in excellent condition. I remember the day of the appointment when I walked to the reception desk, ready to pay and she said, "no, just buy me brunch." I replied with a smile that my dental insurance probably would not cover a brunch. We had a nice visit and brunch in Tiburon. There are many other happy memories from playing with our jungle book characters on her front lawn in the 1960s to her attending my parties in the Oakland Hills in the late 1980s and early 1990s. We seemed to have lost contact over the past few years, but now I know why: she found the love that she had been seeking. I am very saddened by the loss of a very special and giving woman. I only received this sad news late today through other friends. My prayers and sympathy to the Quan and Soderquist families. Please feel free to contact me. I do have some old photographs.
Sincerely, Julie

I met Gigi when we were in the 7’th grade and she was one of my best friends in school. We had lots of good times together and I came to know her as a very sweet and special person. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed on. My prayers are with her family, especially her son.
