The family of George R. Bolling,
I've read the article in the Mercury News and want to send my regards as another person who is grateful for the sacfifice of our brave airmen and service people of our Great Nation. I am glad they wrote the story of your husband, father, etc and as the wife of another serviceman of WW2 (Navy) I had such respect when I read the story of your family, and thank you for sharing it with the public (Me) Love & Sincerely, Mrs. Jim Boren of San Jose

Richard was a true and loyal friend for over forty-four years. He did not talk about his famous flying career, but I did. I was proud to just be associated with such a great, yet humble man and told many of my friends and co-workers about him being a TUSKEGEE AIRMAN. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

I did not know any of the airmen, but was always impressed with the determination through diversity how they held their heads and hearts high. My prayers and condolences to the Bolling Family for your loss.

I had the great luck over the past 20 years to meet a few members of the "Tuskegee Airmen". They were heroes! Men I looked up to growing up, aspiring to become an aviator like them. I am proud to have met them and will always pass my knowledge of those heroics to my grandchildren.
Mr. Bolling has "slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies". May he always look down on his fellow aviators...

I have always been proud of you, Uncle Richard, and you will be missed. You lived a wonderful life and were a great brother to my grandmother. May you rest in peace.
