George Netto Obituary

George G. Netto
October 1, 1928 - March 29, 2017
Santa Clara
George moved back to Santa Clara where he died peacefully in the home where he and his wife raised three children. He was an outgoing and fun loving man with big, strong hands and an even larger heart. He loved all things outdoors; camping, boating, fishing, auto racing as well as the 49ers and the SF Giants. His pride and joy was his 1965 Mustang convertible and his family!
Born in Santa Clara then raised on an apple orchard in Aromas, CA, one of six children of John and Rose Netto. Married his high school sweetheart, Jewel Page, then enlisted in the Navy. Upon discharge, he joined the Teamster's Union and worked for Hadley Auto Transport as an auto transport driver for 42 years. He also served on Teamster's Local 287 Executive Board as VP and Trustee.
Predeceased by daughter, Marilyn Maggetti and wife Jewel Netto, George is survived by his beloved sons - John (Anne) Netto, George (Charlotte) Netto, sisters - Evelyn Balla and Madeline Brickwedel as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, April 8th at noon at Fiorillio's 638 El Camino Real, Santa Clara.
