Palo Alto
Gloria Carmichael passed away on November 24 with her two daughters by her side. She was 94. She was born in San Francisco and lived in Palo Alto for the past 58 years. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved cooking and was famous for her rigatoni, minestrone and potato salad. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, and her daughter, Terry. She is survived by daughter Patricia Smith of Palo Alto; son Thomas (Cindy) Carmichael of Roseville; and daughter Ann (Stevan) Deggelman of Palo Alto. She was the loving grandmother and matriarch to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the heart of the family and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 3, at 9:30 am at Villa Siena Chapel, 1855 Miramonte Avenue, Mt. View, CA 94040.
