Helen Burgard, 80, formerly of Monte Sereno, CA, passed away in her home on Monday, November 20, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Helen was an accomplished artist and her paintings were a testimony to her love of the outdoors. Having spent time throughout her life hiking in Yosemite and studying wildlife, she passed on this passion to her children and grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim Burgard, her two daughters, Wendy Brannan (Mark Brannan) and Pam Ferguson, daughter through marriage, Debbie Evers (Bryan Evers), and six grandchildren Grady and Jamie Brannan, Sydney and Cole Ferguson, and Casey and Alex Evers.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Saturday, January 13, at Viva restaurant in Los Gatos from 2 PM to 5 PM.
In leu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Land Trust of Santa Cruz County and their Highway 17 wildlife tunnel project.
