Helen Danielson Obituary

Helen Danielson
May 3, 1935 - April 24, 2017
San Mateo
Helen Ann Danielson (Price) passed into God's loving and merciful hands early on April 24th, 2017 from complications from a stroke.
Helen was born May 3, 1935 to James and Harriet Price in San Francisco. She was the youngest of eight children. All have preceded her in passing.
She graduated from Balboa High School in 1953 and married her life-long sweetheart, partner and mate Norm in 1954. They moved to San Bruno in 1961, and then to Windsor in 1994. After Dad passed in 2010, Mom slipped fast in to Dementia. Because of that we moved her into assisted living in San Mateo in 2014.
Helen and Norm had four children; a son James, died shortly after birth in 1956. Surviving children are Dan (Cindy), Cindy (Rick Coates) and Jackie. Grandchildren: Kyle (Janette), Jenny (Dwayne Fletcher), Maika, Asena, Nick and Sara, and three great-grandchildren: Luke Warner James Fletcher, Ozzie Derek and Jovie Raye Danielson.
Mom enjoyed scrapbooking for her grandkids and all were given large caches of their own personal history several years ago. Mom and Dad were instrumental in the formation of Girls Softball in San Bruno in the early 1970s. They loved cruising and enjoyed 22 cruises together. However, Anywhere Together was enough for both of them. Family gatherings were always festive and happy times! And all Holidays were a time of joy and celebration! Mom made them special that way.
Helen was Team Mom, Scorekeeper, Den Mother, PTA Member, Church Choir singer, cook, house cleaner, co-pilot to Dad, Beloved Daughter & Sister, Auntie, friend, 'Mom' to us and Grandma to her beloved six grandchildren. She only met one of her great-grandchildren, Luke. But was a lover of all little ones.
Thank You Lord for allowing us to have her as long as you did. And Thank You for having the mercy to take her home when you did.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held at the Sixteen (16) Mile House in Millbrae on May 13th at 1 pm.
Final Internment with Dad will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Windsor at a date yet to be determined by family.
Donations of any type would be gladly accepted at Sally's (Salvation Army) or Green Dog Rescue in Windsor in Helen's name.

Doing things at Christmas the Right way - spoiling them - Haaa! sometimes, us grandparents do a bit of that on our own as well. Hard Not to when the G-kids are So good. Stay close to Dad Mom. Don't want him to get lost. Coulda sworn I heard you singing in Church last week...closed my eyes & thought it was You. Soon enough we'll be singing together in His presence. What a glorious time that will be. Love You Mom. Until we meet again chickie-baby.....

"Hello My Love"
It's been a while, but you're always on my mind, you and Grandpa. I sure do miss you guys. I miss your hugs, and long phone calls just saying hi and catching up on life. Some days are harder than others to keep the tears away.
My little boy, Luke, is turning 7 tomorrow! 7!! Can you believe it! I cant, it has all happened in the blink of an eye, and I so desperately wish you got to see him grow and become the greatest little boy. You would love him so much. He's so funny and goofy, just like Grandpa, He loves to make everyone laugh. I sure I'm making you guys proud. He loves his family fiercely, just like you guys did. He's never one to not say "I love you" and give me big hugs when we part ways.
I haven't seen anything from you guys lately, can you swing by soon just to let me know your still with me? It gives me so much comfort when I see a little humming bird go by, or see 13 pop up in unexpected places, to know you're not gone completely.
Anyways, I miss you guys.
I love you.

Hi Mom! It's been a full Year since you left us a & went to be in His presence. Sure do Miss You - and as all of us realize, we should've spent more time together while you & Dad were here. Our Loss, and it's a big one....We can't go back, only move forward, and Look Forward to the days we'll be togther again - and this time for Eternity! Can't wait to hear you sing again...I know it was a passion for you here. Can't wait to see You & Dad and James, and all the others who've passed-on before us. It will be a Great reunion to be sure! Thanks Mom for Everything! for preparing us to be adults, to having our own kids & even seeing the beauty in Their kids - your Great-Grandchildren are Wonderful! Love You Mom...Tell Dad the same. See you soon enough - whenever He is done with me here. ;-) Danny

Hi Mom, it's Dec. 1st - time to get Dad rollin' with the Christmas decorations! I know you relished this time of year! Most Holidays were very special because of you & Dad making them that way. But Christmas was the Most-Special time of the year for you both. Thank You for allowing us the memories of Christmases Past. Thank You for being so 'giving' in your own way. Thank You for showing us the way it should be - always. The way we needed it to be to pass down to our kids, and now their kids - your Great Grand-Children. ;-) oh, how you'd love them so. More cute smiles and laughs, & 'first baths' w/Grandma...so many things our kids were able to enjoy as kids growing up with You. Thanks Mom....for All of it. Miss you here more than you know....Love You Always, and a day. Danny James

Hello My Love,
I miss you more than you could ever imagine. You've been heavy on my mind, and heart lately. Rarely can I think about you without tears welling up in my eyes. I talk to Luke about you and Grandpa, all the time, I'm so happy to meet him at least once, before you left us. I look at those pictures constantly, your eyes were as bright at as a little kid on Christmas morning. I miss your voice, and hugs, and talking to you on the phone in between visits. I'm sorry I didn't come to see you more. Give Grandpa a hug for me, I miss him just as much. You guys were some of the best Grandparents any kids could EVER ask for. You taught us so much, and showed us how to love, and heal, and don't forget deadhead the flowers, and make sure you water them enough, and NEVER pass up a turkey leg!! We get to see dad this weekend, I'll hug him tight for you, I know this time has been very hard on him, also. Thank you for everything, the memories, and love that will remain with me forever.
I Love You, and miss you.
Until later, My Love.
Jenn

Jackie, Cindy, and Dan,

Your Mom and Dad will always hold a very special place in my heart. Their love for softball, the Chargers and all the girls was extraordinary. The Chargers shared a unique bond and many cherished memories. I treasure the Charger years and will always be thankful for the time, love and devotion your parents shared with me and my teammates. They will both will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
