Irene Coon Obituary

Irene C. Coon Age 97, passed away peacefully on December 6th. Irene was a long time resident of Cupertino, an active member of Los Altos United Methodist Church, a loyal volunteer for the Cupertino Historical Society and Cupertino Senior Center. She leaves behind two daughters, Jan Jensky of Cupertino and Jean O'Brien of Pasadena, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren as well as a sister and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Coon and her son John. She will be missed every day and remembered with love. A Memorial service will be held at Los Altos United Methodist Church, 650 Magdalena Ave., Los Altos, on Saturday, December 19th at 3PM.

Am sorry I did not get to the service for your mother/grandmother. Irene was a really wonderful lady. We are both from Wisconsin and liked to talk about people, places, and the weather there. She always made people feel important. I found it remarkable that she used the computer at her age. She will be missed.
