Resident of Millbrae
The city of Millbrae will miss this great woman dearly. Jo-Ann was born in Vallejo in 1937, moved to San Francisco in 1953, married Robert Obler in 1955 made Millbrae her home until her passing.
Jo-Ann was a devoted mother to Trina 47, Timothy 44. She was the PTA President at both Meadows Elementary Taylor Intermediate the PTO President at Capuchino High School. She was the Capuchino Marching Band Uniform Officer, an original member of the school committee that established ran Bingo games at Capuchino High School she was also one of the original founding members of the Capuchino Community Theatre.
In 1983, Jo-Ann was named Millbrae's Woman Of The Year for her excellent service to the community.
Jo-Ann died peacefully at home with her devoted husband Robert by her side along with her son Timothy, son Nick daughters-in-law Angela Michelle.
She is survived by her daughter Trina Thorsen family, her brother Ronald Hellman family grand-daughter Isabella Jordan.
No services will be held. All donations can be made to the Glaucoma Foundation.
