Joan (Peggy) Spurgeon

Resident of Burlingame

Peggy Spurgeon passed away peacefully on September 14, surrounded by her children Cheryl Feldman, Kim Ward, and Scott Spurgeon.

Born In New Zealand, Peggy came to the United States as a child with her mother, Patricia Patterson, and her grandmother, Anne Nicholson. She was a lifelong resident of Burlingame, a city she dearly loved.

She attended grade school and high school in Burlingame. Peggy was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she enjoyed donating her time for various church activities. She was a member of the Peninsula Tennis Club where she participated in tennis, bridge, and social activities.

Peggy was the beloved grandmother to Todd Feldman, Michael Feldman, Andrew Ward, and Kristen Waters and beloved great grandmother to twelve great grandchildren, all of whom called her Nane. She will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Burlingame on October 22nd at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
