Hello, I found Mr. Runcie“s gavel at a thrift store I was curious who this was and I searched up his name. I was lead to this site and was wondering if any of you would like this gavel back.

On behalf of my father, I want to thank you for your caring friendship. Daddy loved his family and friends very much. His Navy buddys, his students and his Masonic friends were never forgotten. His eyes would light up as he recounted stories of times with you. You were his world and what was important to him.
Dad never stopped grieving the loss of our mother Grace. He loved our step-mother Kathie too. He and Kathie shared a good life these past 27 years.
It is hard to accept Dad's passing. His life was full and active until the last few years. Then with prostate cancer and congestive heart failure his life was not what his bright and teasing mind could accept. He fought for life until the end. Kathie made his last days as comfortable as they could be. We are forever greatful for her presence in his life. The doctors, nurses and other caregivers who became a constant in his life, are to be thanked and commended for doing what they could to help him.
Thank you for your prayers and the thoughtful kindnesses to our father though the years.
In gratitude, my brothers and our families thank you for your part in the fullness and quality and purpose of his life.

I'll never forget the night that John called, identifying himself as my cousin, after he had become reunited with his other Tuel brothers and sisters.

"Mr. Runcie" taught me Driver's Ed in high school. Later, when I married, he became a good friend through my husband's Masonic Lodge affiliations. Now, 47 years later, I am thankful to have had the friendship of John Runcie, a very SPECIAL person.

Hello---sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Mr. Runcie was a teacher of mine in the school year 62-63. He always made the class fun even while teaching some of the more mundane things that were required. I also understand -- having lost a son at age 20 and a father to cancer...hope he was indeed peaceful. take care...Candy Lindman Colin

My dad was in the Masonic Lodge with John and I remember when he and Kathy got married. I also remember many Lodge BBQ's at Vasona Park and many visits to our house from John. He was a good man. I know he will be deeply missed.
