Joseph Lara Obituary
Beloved husband to Frances Juanes Lara. Devoted father to Roxy, Gary, Francine, Joseph Jr., and Carolyn. Adored grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 5. Loving brother to Thomas, Julio, Frank and Lawrence. Also loved by so many wonderful extended family, friends and neighbors.
'Joe' was born in Oakland, CA. He married and settled in Santa Clara, CA. After working 35 years for the Sunnyvale School District, he retired in 1992. Joe loved coaching baseball, working in his yard, and many outdoor activities with his family.
The Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22nd from 5 - 9 p.m. at LIMA FAMILY MORTUARY, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 23rd, 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 1971 St. Lawrence Dr., Santa Clara.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph Lara's name to Kaiser Hospice, Attn: Ken Watkins, 10080 N. Wolfe Rd., Suite SW 3-160, Cupertino, CA 95014.

It was with sadness that I heard of the passing of Joe. Joe and I crossed paths many times during our years in the Sunnyvale School District. He always had a smile and a friendly word for all. His family was his pride and joy. He may be gone but his memory is with us all. May he rest in peace.

I will truly miss Joe Sr. he was a wonderful man. We had alot of great times playing co-ed softball for the Sunnyvale School district.

I was sadened to read that Joe had passed away. I worked with Joe at the school district and he was a personal friend to my father (Daniel Rodrigues)and our family. Although I haven't seen him in quite a few years, I remember he was a helpful and good friend to my family. Our prayers are with you and heaven has a new member. Sincerely, Mike Molash
