Katherine Cutting Obituary

Katherine "Kaye" Morrissey Cutting

Age 88, a 45 year resident of Menlo Park. Born July 3, 1922 Died July 1, 2011 at Stanford University Med Center after a short illness. A graduate of Boston College BS RN. She served in the South Pacific and Japan during WWII as a 2nd LT Nurse. Her family moved from the island of Aruba to Menlo Park in 1966. Kaye worked for PA Medical Clinic, Raychem and Alza Corp as "the nurse". She was also a volunteer at Treasures Hospice in Menlo Park. Kaye is surived by her daughters Cathleen de los Reyes, Lynn Hansen, Eileen Cutting and son Paul L. Cutting. Her grandchildren are Jessica L. Hansen, Scott B. Hansen and Zoe M. Cutting. Friends are invited to the Rosary at 7 PM on Tuesday July 5th at Cusimano Family Mortuary, 68 El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA and Graveside services at 2 PM on Wednesday July 6 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park, CA Contributions may be made to Stanford Medical Center, Stroke Center, Office of Medical Development, 300 Pasteur Dr. Palo Alto, CA 94305. Arrangements under the direction of O'Connor Menlo Park Funerals.

It was a pleasure spending time with Katie. She was a beautiful fun and kind lady. I am very happy to have been able to spend time with her. I enjoyed my evenings at the Three Flames with Katie, Terry and Steve. She is now watching over us with her beautiful smile. xo
