I just heard of 'Sister Patrick's' passing, all of us that knew her at Notre Dame in Salinas loved her so much. She brightened up our lives with her joy and enthusiasm. Heaven definitely has gained a treasure!

I remember Sr. Patrick and the four years at the new NDHS in Salinas. I have so many fond and wonderful memories of her. I thought of her often over the years. She took a few of us girls from school, all from the class of 68, to the beach on a day one weekend just for fun. Her interaction with my parents was very special. I was never good in math but she made me understand it like no other math teacher I had. What a wonderful lady.

My wife and I always thought of and referred to Kitty as the "Mayor" of our little village. She was one of the very first people we met when we moved here in 2006. On our very first day here we were blessed to meet Kitty. Her radiant smile and warm, welcoming way told us they we were in a special place. And we know now that Kitty is one of the main reasons this place is indeed so special. We feel blessed to have known her and lived here with her. So long for now Kitty, yours was a life incredibly well-lived and inspirational.

I always enjoyed my visits with Kitty, learning about the history of our family. We always had plenty to discuss. My only wish is I had more time to spend with her and my family.
I hope you are reunited with your mom, dad and brothers and sister.
Irish Blessing
May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand. (by Anon)

I knew her as Sister Patrick. She taught math at Notre Dame. She was feisty, spirited, and a big promoter of modern reform that was happening in the Church in the 1960s. I recall, how she went from wearing black loafers when I was a freshman to wearing white tennis shoes the following year. Easier to speed around and role model for us the spirit of an engaged, warm, and intelligent woman.

Hello Wonderful Family of Kitty. I am a former SND where I first knew of Kitty (I'm younger than she) and I am a former Overfelt teacher where I continued to hear about her. It was always the same: "She was something else! She was amazing! She was so much fun!" While I was teaching at WCO we crossed paths, and she promptly invited me to bring my ESL students out to Old Almaden for a field trip, an offer which we eagerly accepted. Yes, her reputation extended far and wide, and the world is indeed a better place for her warm, hilarious and loving life! Karen

When I was a little girl I always thought my Aunt Kitty's smile was like the sun. It lit up the entire space that she was in. Aunt Kitty was charming and fun plus she always doled out lots love for all of her nieces and nephews. My childhood without her presence would not have been the same. We always enjoyed watching the 49ers with her and thoroughly enjoyed her enthusiasm. Sending her all our love! Katie and Jesse
