It was a sad day when I learned about Kevin's passing. My sympathies go out to Karen
and the whole Killen family.
I have great memories of Kevin when we were Kids playing sports like street hockey
in the winter using horse dung for a puck. Later on we played hockey for the St Gabriel's
Alter boys midget hockey, Kevin was the goalie,I could never understand how he could see the
puck because his glasses would steam up playing in the cold.
We also played football and Kevin was the center usually we were on apposing teams both
wearing number 44 for some of those years.
I was happy we could get together on one his last trips to Montreal when we marched to
the stone and later talked about old times with Mike Spears and Billy Earle our coach when we
did play together.
I'm sure he'll be missed by all.
In our thoughts.

To Karen and the Killen family, It is with a very saddened heart we write this. For me (Mike) it leaves a very empty space in my life. As you all know Kevin (Killen)was more then a friend to me and I am happy to have spent the 10 days with him before he passed on giving us time to reflect on our friendship and what it ment to us. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will truly miss him. God Bless

Killen family,
I worked with your dad and partied with him as well. Many a BBQ at the Beattie's sitting around listening to your dad and Gordon put us American's down and singing the "O Canada" anthem. Some of my best years at Nortel were due to your dad being such a great guy to work with. Like all of you I will miss him dearly.
My love goes out to all of you.

My favorite story about Kevin comes from John Spindler, who described Kevin's ingenious methods for getting beer into Stanford football games. Kevin approached work and life with great humor. I will miss him, and express my symathies to his family.

I have worked with Kevin for over 20 years in Santa Clara. I have 'Never' seen anyone as professional and hard working as Kevin was in his field. I remember that when I approached him for any help in getting material in house asap...Kevin was on that phone getting the job done as I stood right there in his office! I always admired his confidence in knowing he will get the job done no matter what it takes 'and' I could rely on him each and every time.
My best times were when I met Kevin and Karen after Nortel times at an Open House I was holding in Mountain View. Only then did I know the 'Real' Kevin and Karen! What a fine couple. They were charming, gracious and totaly insync with what they wanted in life (this includes not missing 'any' Stanford Games!). I thank Kevin and Karen for giving me the opportunity to get the 'job done' in selling their home and most importantly to share the special times we had together.
Karen, it was an honor to have spent time with you and Kevin. I will always cherish the memories of Kevin and I am always here to help you and your family anyway possible. You can rely on me Karen.
Your friend forever,
Wilma Daniel

I've been told I'm never at a loss for words. However, after knowing Kevin for over 50 years, he was always in my mind. We did so much together years ago and although we have not seen much of each other since his move to CA, I always felt close to him. He will remain in my mind. Kevin will be in our prayers. God bless you Karen and family.

In times like these are few words to express how we feel about someone. The Killen's have been my extended family for most of my life and have been a large part of all my memories growing up. I was blessed to spend a day with them just days before Kevin's passing. We have lost a good friend with a love for family and a kind heart that will never be forgotten.
Karen, Carolyn, Michael, Jeff, Christa and Spencer. We are here for you if you need anything.
