Born in Los Gatos, California, Kyle Christian Farr passed away unexpectedly July 1, 2015 at the age of 14.
Larger than life, Kyle will be remembered for his laughter, quick wit and charm. A recent graduate of Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos, he was set to attend Bellarmine College Prepatory in San Jose this fall.
Devoted son of Heidi and Corey Farr and inseparable from his brother Aiden, Kyle was the comic relief for anyone who knew him. Kyle is also survived by his 2 grandmothers, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and a multitude of friends who are considered family.
A viewing will be held Thursday July 9, 2015 at Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos from 5 to 9 pm with a short prayer service beginning at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Friday July 10, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic 219 Bean Ave., Los Gatos.
In recognition of Kyle's spirited personality, colorful attire is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Paws & Stripes or The Make A Wish Foundation, in Kyle's name.
Kyle will be forever alive in our hearts.

Dear Farr Family: I have never met any of you but I learned of your loss from a friend. It has really touched me deeply that such a fine young man and such a fine family would encounter such a heart wrenching experience. In reading about Kyle, I've learned that he was such an exemplary person and your family should feel proud to have raised someone that brought so much positive to this world. Like so many others, I don't have any words to lighten your pain. Just know that many, many hearts hurt with yours.

Corey and Heidi words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your sudden loss.... I'm still in shock I enjoyed every time Corey would come in to salon Mona Lisa for a haircut and he would come with these hilarious stories about vacations road trips holidays and boys being boys. Nothing is more shocking than the sudden loss of such a bright soul. Kyle was warm to everyone and seemed to be able to make anyone laugh. Lili thinks so highly of him not just because he was fun but because he seemed to hold little judgement of others and treated everyone with kindness. Kyle was one of the nicest, most respectful young boys that I have ever meet. He was a gentle giant. Kyle played youth rugby for the Los Gatos Lions middle school team this year. He was a great team player who was well liked by fellow team members and coaches. As a sign of respect, the Los Gatos Lions varsity rugby team will wear black arm bands this week when they play in a tournament up in Sacramento. On behalf of the entire Los Gatos Lions Rugby Club we are deeply saddened at the loss of this fine young man.

My son Levi is Kyle's friend. They met last year when Levi transferred to Fisher, but became closer this year. They had classes and projects and silliness and fun together. They spent the whole day at Great America together and Levi rattled on and on when he got home about how much fun he had with Kyle that day and how much they laughed. They both wore bow ties with suspenders to the Fisher graduation ceremony, though Kyle's bright pink ones were a bolder fashion choice, to say the least. Though I don't know how to lessen you pain, I just wanted to let you know that Kyle was a wonderful friend and Levi is so, so sad to be without him.

Levi is honored to have been asked to participate on Thursday, and help in any way he can. We are thinking of your family and Kyle every day, many times throughout the day. I am wishing you peace and love in the coming days.

My name is Cheryl and although I have never met Kyle, he has definitely left a lasting impression on my son.
My son Reed shared a summer school class with Kyle at Bellarmine and just last week he was telling me about Kyle and how funny he was. He was the first thing my son talked about (3 days in a row) when I picked him up from camp last week. My son said to me, "he's pretty funny mom....I want you to meet him....even you would think he's funny." For what it is worth, I never did get to meet Kyle but in the short time he knew my son, he made a very lasting impression. For that, I am forever grateful. I am so sorry for your loss.

The Cumpston family is stunned and heartbroken to hear about Kyle. Kyle and our son Benjamin were friends at Fisher and would have been in the same graduating class at Bellarmine. He knew how close Kyle was to his brother, Aiden. Our older son, Will, knows Aiden from Fisher and Bellarmine. It feels like such a loss to the community. We're so very sorry.
