In retirement he honed his passions of baking sour dough bread, custom roasting coffee beans and cooking a few specialties of his own. He was an intellect, hockey player, skier, golfer, sports enthusiast, but more than anything, he had a keen sense of humor and huge heart that touched many.Lorne is survived by his wife Annette, his daughters Lynn Egan (Mark), Leslie Charles (Mike), Lisa O'Malley (Mike), Louise MacDonald, and Laura Boderck (Steve), 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brother Ross MacDonald.Services will be held at St. Charles Church, in San Carlos, on Friday, February 17th at 11:00am. Lorne MacDonald gave much to support our spirits. I loved his attitude in the learning process, for example he´d say, " if you don´t understand this now you will later", he was so correct as he would stimulate the learning process with his curious methods. I went to work for AT&T in 1969 and over 55 years later I still work for them knowing that I will learn anything needed to perform my technical position. I am very grateful for the consequences that continue, thank you Lorne. George Sullivan
