Lynne Devine Denman, age 89, passed away peacefully March 7, 2022 after a short term illness. She was born December 18, 1932 in San Francisco, California to Patrick and Florence Devine. She attended Lowell High School after which she went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California Berkeley. She later continued her education and earned a Master's Degree in Music from San Jose State University.
Before starting her teaching career, Lynne taught many children private piano lessons in her home. She began teaching Chorus and Band at Hyde Jr. High and later moved to Kennedy Jr. High in the Cupertino Union School District for over 18 years.
The Saratoga Drama Group was an important part of her life. There she was able to sing like there was no tomorrow and portray characters in so many plays. She developed friendships that lasted a lifetime, people who enjoyed life to the fullest and entertained thousands over the years.
After retirement she started collecting Antiques and had a place in a shop located in San Jose, CA, where she sold the antiques she collected from various estate sales. After closing her antique business, she started a jewelry making business with a partner, making beautiful necklaces, bracelets and other assorted jewelry. She always looked forward to attending the-yearly shows around the San Jose area to sell the jewelry. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Roy. They experienced cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and took several trips to various parts of Europe. She was an avid bridge player, playing with a couple groups throughout her life.
Lynne is survived by her two daughters, Karen MacAllister and Kelly Patrino; grandchildren, Matthew Patrino and wife Amanda; Melanie Mize and husband Kenny; great grandchildren Rylie Patrino, Kylie Mize and Colton Mize. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Denman, her granddaughter Katherine Lynne Patrino and great grandson Jaxson Robert Mize.
