Orlando Tamburino Obituary

Orlando "Joe" Tamburino
August 20, 1925 - December 8, 2018
Resident of San Jose, California
Orlando "Joe" Tamburino passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. A San Jose native and World War II Army veteran. He was 93.
Orlando was married to his loving wife, Frances Costanza, for 66 years. He adored her immensely. They had three children, Connie, Jennifer and Joey. He had one grandchild, Krista "Bedda" Buzolich, whom he treasured and admired, as well as his son-in-law, Marc Buzolich, daughter-in-law, Janet Tamburino, and his loving sister-in-law, Isabel Costanza.
Joe worked in the beer business for over 35 years and was very proud to be part of the Teamsters Union. He loved the Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers and Yankees baseball since he was 8 years old, but he especially loved golf. He worked at Santa Teresa Golf Course for 25 years until he was 90 years old and played golf regularly with his group, Jerry, Sharon and Tony.
Joe was always the life of any party. Meet him once and you never forgot him.
Many thanks to all of his home health caregivers: Ann, Shirley, Cindy, Andrew, Danica and others through the years.

7 years ago, you left us. Nevertheless, we always remember you and the good times we all have had as a family. This year, we are also missing sweet Aunty Frances. You have been without her for 7 years. This year you can celebrate your time together. I see the smiles on your faces when you first married. My blessings for you both and all of the heavenly family that have left us on earth.

Dear Uncle Tam,
Another year.... where does time go. Every time Kent and I go to visit Aunty, Jennifer and Mike..... We always feel your presence and think of you. That will never change.

I think I said last time that you would not like a lot that is going on in the world. Although that is still true....you will be glad to hear that we have remained close and have been enjoying each other's company. I don't know why I am telling you that when you can see it for yourself.

We love you,
Your niece.... Gerri and
Nephew...... Kent
Thank you for the memories

Dear Uncle,
Although life goes on, as you would want it to for those you love, we remember you as you were still here today.......big as life! We remember how you would love to tell a story, make someone laugh and your memorable smile.

We don't think you would like the things that are going on right now, but hopefully by the next entry, things will return to more of a normalcy.

You could be sure that the constant is that you are loved and missed.

With Love,
Your niece, Gerri

A year has passed since we said goodbye to our Uncle Tam. However, he was so full of life that he will always be with us in our minds and hearts.

Thank God for our memories. I wish him peace and the pleasure of continuing to hit all of this good balls with the iron he took with him. God bless
With Love,
Gerri, Kent and Kim Gifford

Joe will be missed. I'm so lucky to have crossed paths with him working at Santa Teresa Golf Club and luckier to call him a friend. With a great memory of the past, Joe's stories, were not tall tales or exaggerations. They were snapshots a man's great life that were always worth listening to. Story time was often accompanied with Joe's classic "hand wrap sandwich" or the "complimentary" spinal adjustment performed when he got those same hands on my shoulders. The world is in short supply of people like him and our loss is truly heaven's gain.

RIP birthday buddy.

Our condolences to your family. It is with
great sadness to lose a loved one that has
always been so full of life with a "Can Do
Attitude."

I remember meeting my uncle when I was only a child. He came courting my Aunt Frances. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor.

May he rest in peace and know that he will be remembered and loved.

With Love,
Gerri and Kent
