Reiko Masuda
January 27, 1934 - January 17, 2013
Resident of San Jose
Reiko Masuda passed away peacefully at home on January 17th 2013 at the age of 78.
Reiko was born in Hayward on January 27, 1934. She graduated from Gilroy High School and raised her family in Gilroy and San Jose. For over forty years, Reiko enjoyed a fulfilling career as a hairdresser and developed life long friendships with many of her customers. Her interests included line dancing at the Yu-Ai Kai, tending her garden, and cheering for the Forty-Niners. One of the great joys of her life was her grandchildren and watching them grow.
Reiko is preceded in death by her husband Roy. She is survived by her siblings Kazumi, Hisayo, Sumiko, Betty, Ronald, Tom, and Lillian, her children Charlene McNeil (Scott), Douglas Masuda (Terry), and Deborah Boyer (Michael), and grandchildren Christopher, Timothy, Kimberly, Cameron, Ricky, Justin, Kathlene, Lindsay, and Jasmine.
Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27th, 2013 at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 North Fifth Street, San Jose, CA 95113-3289.

I know that you in her family will miss her as do I. I was in grade and high school with Reiko and will always cherish her introduction into my life and the joys and memories that vividly remain. May God bless her as she blessed me.
