Bob for sure is one of the reasons I am glad to have been a part of the Produce Market for 39 years. The weekly lunches with Banana King Louie in their so called office, his new revolution of cooking on a George Foreman Grill. Most of all he was an outstanding and knowledgeable Produce Buyer.
The Best!!
Bob will be greatly missed by me and many others.

Bob and I have been trading insults for the past 40 years. We never said anything hurtfull, but would try to make each other laugh. His favorite thing to ask me was"Is it true that when you were a kid--you were so ugly your parents had to tie a lamb chop to your leg so the dog would play with you" I will miss his humor, his stories about the old days, his occasional anger, and his wealth of knowledge of produce. In short--I'll miss everything about him. My love and sympathy to you, his family. We are all better people for having known him.

We will miss Bob Sr. very much. He was a friend of my grandfather, my father, and me.So I can say I knew him all my life.My first encounters with Bob Sr. was when I was a very young boy. I would come the market with my father. Bob would be there to buy produce from my father. Then he would ask me who had a bigger nose, he or my father. It was a standing joke to this day.Dice games at Hogan's will never be the same.
He will be greatly missed. The produce market lost one of the original founders of the produce business.

Bob treated me like family and I will miss him so very much. I will never forget him. He will live forever. His stories, his anecdotes and the classic comments he would have for his friends. Most of his sayings are part of the everyday lingo used by my entire family.
He would call me nearly every morning on his way to work to see how I was "feeling" or comment on the quality of produce I delivered him..be it good or bad. He called me from his final stay in the hospital looking for an "asparagus" ad for the following week.
I have lost a great friend. His famous sayings, " I love you son" , " I don't know", will be with us always.
He hated when I went on vacation. He would ask when I was coming back every day. He nicknamed me Tommy Bahama and would say it all drawn out. It is only fitting I am in Maui now and can't attend the services. I will hear him asking me when are you coming home to see me "Tommy Bahama"

Mr. Boyajian was a sincere and kind man to me and my family. We will always remember our visit to scenic Fresno with Bob and Sarah eating chinese food and enjoying each others company. Bob will be missed greatly. It was a great pleasure to have known him.
