Robert Frommer Obituary
Robert (Bob) Frommer
Resident of Belmont
Robert (Bob) Frommer passed away at age 84, on September 24, 2010. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Gus and Gertrude Frommer September 4, 1926.
He served four years in the Navy.
He was preceded in his death by wives Terry King Frommer who passed away October 1, 1970, and Betty Ogan Frommer who passed away October 21, 2000.
He was a graduate of Heald's Engineeing College and received a BSME. Working at Montgomery Bros. and Eldetco in Burlingame.
He was a member of the Square Dancing Groups, "Bachelors and Bachelorettes" and the "Clod Hoppers". He and his wife, Betty, were District Directors of Northern California Square Dancers Association.
After retirement he became a crossing guard for Cipriani Elementary School in Belmont until his death.
He leaves to mourn, his sister, Mary Lou Stensey, nephew, Marty Frommer and family, nieces Patricia Mandator and family, and Denise Graham and family. His dearest friend of many years, Mary Karp,daughters Patricia Hansen and husband John, Julia Barnes, and grandaughter Jerica Barnes. And many other friends he has met over the years.
Friends are invited to a Visitation on Friday, Oct. 1 from 6 to 8pm at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel, 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont and a Funeral Mass on Saturday, Oct. 2, 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1040 Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity or the San Mateo County Astronomical Society, care of San Mateo College, California. Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel
