Samuel Leach Obituary

Samuel Henry Leach Feb. 6, 1919 - Oct. 29, 2008 Age 89, peacefully passed into the hands of our Lord in San Jose, CA. Sam was born in Meansville, Georgia and attended Berry College until he moved to California to work in the carpentry trades. Survived by loving wife Evelyn, and children; Gary Logsdon (Karen), Carol Ryder (Dave), Jim Leach, Rick Leach, Ginny Kisling, Mary Galetto (Jim), brother Dave and sister Leslyn and preceded by sister Christine and loving wife of 47 years Marjorie. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather, Sam was always there with a ready hand and a happy heart for his family with unwavering energy, often traveling long distances to retain family connections. Sam was a faithful church member and tireless worker. He didn't just talk the talk, he walked the talk, always willing to lend a helping hand and reaching out to those less fortunate. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. "Loyal and True" describe his life from beginning to end. Services are open and will be held at Church of the Chimes, 1447 Bryan Avenue, San Jose, CA, 95118 on Wednesday November 5th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Church of the Chimes.

Sam was a wonderful man. Always willing to show you a good time when you were visiting with him. Very caring to his family and friends. We shall all miss him very much.
