Sam was a good friend with a wicked sense of humor. We went to concerts, laser light shows, abandoned mines, Aquarian Valley and 4-wheeled the beaches north of Santa Cruz. I feel honored to have known him and will miss his smile.

Sam, I just learned of your passing and of course am very saddened. There was always something about you which guided people, maybe it was that great voice of yours or your towering physique, but I think there was a wisdom there, an old soul, a gentle soul. Countless hours we spent listening to great music, climbing rocks, driving over the hill with the gang. I'll always remember & miss you and also be thankful for the role you played in my life. I'm very saddened to have heard of Sam's passing. Sam was one of my favorite people in del Mar. We had a lot of fun times together as kids. I'm glad I got to speak to him a few years back. He was going through a hard time because his mom was not well and he was taking that pretty hard. I'm glad he was part of such a huge and loving family. My condolences to everyone that loves him. Rest peacefully Sam.

We use to walk together going to class at Del Mar. We had a couple classes together. I will miss seeing him on Facebook. Sam was a good man and my friend.

Thank you Uncle Sam for sharing stories, laughs, and your green bean salad. Thank you for having humor even when life was handing out rotten lemons, because sometimes there is nothing else left but to make a joke about the darker parts of our experiences here on earth.
Ps. My dog isn´t ugly and I hope you get kissed by a 1000 fluffy white puppies as your punishment for saying so , but more than that I hope your soundtrack is filled Zappa, The Blues and the revving of powerful muscle car engines.

I will always remember Sam as the little brother riding around the block on his bike with a little smile that made you think he was up to no good. As an adult Sam was always fun at parties and BBQ's his specialty was bean salad, and it was very good. Sam took care of his Mom in her late years. Sam was a good guy. He will be missed but if you knew him you could never forget him! Rest now Sam.

Uncle Sam, your dark sense of humor was idly always a bright light that always brought smiles to our faces and laughs to our hearts. You will be missed and never forgotten. One of my favorite memories with you is walking around in great grandmas garden and you telling me the names of all the neighborhood cats and plants, you always picked the best tomatoes.
