Sarah Nicole Lilly Saxton Aug. 8 2001 - Jan. 3 2010 Sarah' journey to God has reached the destination and she will now be forever. After a hard fought battle with a brainstem tumor she finally succumbed to her illness. She was a gifted child - life loving, strong spirited, fearless, she was full of joy with a big heart and wise beyond her years. Though only eight years old, she was an old soul who came to us for only a short time to teach us the meaning of the word courage and to us she was our superstar just as in life she was a shooting star. Her caring and compassion for all others set the bar as she always thought of others first. She has been a bright light in so many lives and we will always be touched by her memory and her smile. She deeply loved and will be missed dearly by her mother Deborah Lilly, her father Gregory Saxton, her two sisters Angela and Serena, her grandmother (Nanny) Dolores, many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. She joins her grandfather Realf in heaven who will welcome her into loving arms. We will always love you Sarah and we will never forget. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services, on Saturday, January 9, at 12:30 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr., Los Altos, CA. A visitation will take place starting at 11:30 a.m. at the above Chapel. Arrangements by Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills, Los Gatos, CA.

We were shocked and saddened to hear how such a wonderful person can be taken away so quickly.
Sarah helped us search for our parrot "Lucy" when we lost her just over a year ago. Sarah was a vibrant little girl who was willing to help in any way she could. Even though we did not know Sarah for a very long time her compassion for others shined through.
Sarah even came over to see how Lucy was recovering once we found her. Sarah is truly one of a kind. It’s hard to believe she is gone.
We lost Lucy this last summer and it’s comforting to know that she can watch over our Lucy in heaven.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Hello. I did not know Sarah. After reading her obituary, I wanted to write. It sounds like the world is not so bright now, without her in it. What a loss, for sure. Although Sarah didn't live a long life, in terms of years, it sounds like she lived life to the fullest. She "got it" - she knew, at such a young age, how to truly live Life. And she was already, at an early age, such a good example of how to really be a human being - thinking of others. Oh, that some of us older people would "get" these lessons too! I am so sorry for your loss; it is truly sad. Yet, Sarah must have been such a bright light, such a true spirit. To all of Sarah's family: You are so blessed to have had her in your lives; to have loved her, and been loved by her.
