Steve was my boss at Heath/Zenith Computers and Electronics so many years ago. I visited him at his mobile home several times after I left the company. He was a good man. Now I know why he wasn't responding to my Facebook messages. I am sad.

Steve was the perfect brother-in-law, husband, father, and grandfather. I only wish I could have seen Steve and Alice more often. My heart goes out to Steve's family and friends.

I have known Steve for quite a while stemming from my membership in. TRIO. As a recipient myself, I can feel a lot of the things Steve felt. We were even neighbors at UCSF once. I felt his frustration as he waited manfully for this second transplant that never came. Rest in Peace, Steve Hummer.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Though I barely knew him personally, I do feel I know him through his son Michael, my son-in-law. I thank you Steve, for raising a wonderful son, who has joined our families together. He has been a wonderful husband & father and I hope we can continue to help him through this transition. You will never be forgotten, your legacy carries on through him & his sons. R.I.P. Steve
