Susan Bertaccini-Coronado Obituary

Susan Jean "Nana" Bertaccini-Coronado

Resident of Felton

Oct. 16, 1958-Sept. 28, 2010

A native of San Jose, Sue passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning. She graduated from Camden High School, Class of 1976, and earned her Associates of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Ca¤ada College in 2008, becoming a licensed preschool teacher. After working at Stanford for fifteen years, she owned and operated "The Tot Spot," a daycare center and preschool in her home in Menlo Park for nearly 20 years, affecting the lives of countless children and their families. She retired to Felton with her husband, and volunteered her time as a sponsor to people in recovery.

Sue will be most remembered for her laughter and smiles. Her gregarious personality was larger than this life, and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband Frank Coronado, daughters April and Victoria Coronado, daughter-in-law Catherine Duhring, son Frank Anthony Coronado, grandchildren Samantha and Nathan Coronado, mother and father Margaret and Frederick Bertaccini, brother Mike Bertaccini, his wife Joanne, their children Tricia Taylor, Sarah Davis, and Brian Bertaccini, great-niece Kassey Taylor, and great-nephew Aiden Rodriguez.

There will be a celebration of her life on Tuesday, October 5th, at 7:00 pm at the San Lorenzo Valley Fellowship, 9636 Hwy 9, Ben Lomond, CA.

A memorial fund will be opened. For more information, please contact her daughter April, InMemoryOf [email protected].

I will always remember that blast of positive energy Susan had. She inspired me to open my very own daycare when we lived in Menlo Park and I had my first son. I will always remember who much love she had for her friends, family, daycare children, and of course her husband Frank and her children. Stephen and Frankie were very close growing up and Susan was like a second Mom to him. Thank you Susan, May you rest in peace and sing with the birds. Much love to you and your family. xoxxo Alan and Veronica Glaser

I miss you so much. You, you, you, just you. I never have met a creature of your elk. None will be able to compare. You were one of a kind, one to stand alone. You have left your mark on this reality we all share. I know you sparkle and shine over us all.

Frank and Susan's family: I've known Susan for many years and have had many conversations with her. Some pretty funny and others quite serious. I know she loved you all, loved her life and had many interests (some fulfilled and others not). She was totally loyal to all of you. I know she put others before herself in a loving way. She was a friend to many children and I know she was a total blast. I will miss her calls. My heart goes out to all of you. Nancy Stocks, RN

Susan,
aka Mom,sister, and my friend.....You were the kind of friend who could be who I/we needed you to be. I am greatful that I got to help you as you helped me. Whenever I go swimming I will remember the funest two hour swim where I got to know you better. I will remember when you were goofing around at the twelve o'clock making everyone crack up. While we were trying not to laugh outloud. I could go on and on about how you touched my life and all you came in contact with. I will miss you and I know you will always be in my heart. See you soon...love You with my whole heart. Debbie Welch

I have been blessed to have you in my life. What a beautiful heart and what a beautiful friend. You would be there for anything. You were at my side and made me laugh and made me cry. I will keep on talking to you girlfriend and I know that you will be there. The last time we talked we boh said I love you. We always ended our conversations like that.
