I knew Suzanne and Al at Hope Lutheran Church in the 70's. Suzanne always had that warm smile and I have many warm memories of both her and Al. Such a shock to know she's left us. She always gave me her anise cookies at Christmas because she knew I loved them and never forgot me. Rest in peace Suzanne - we'll all be with you shortly.

Dear Al & family,
As you know, I worked with Suzanne at Stanford Hospital & Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Pharmacy Dept. We shared trust & true friendship in both places. The news of her passing was a shock to me. I could not believe that the untimely death would happen to a healthy & physically fit individual like her. But God has His plans I can't question.
I admired Suzanne as a Supervisor, co worker & friend. She was honest, generous & a very caring individual. I will truly miss her.
My prayers & warm condolences to you & your family. May Suzanne find peace & comfort in the safe place God prepared for her in heaven.
Sincerely,
Pilar S. Felipe

Dear Al & family,
As you know, I was very close to Suzanne both at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center & Stanford University Hospital Pharmacy Dept. Like me, our friends in both places share the loss of a good friend.
The sad news of Suzanne' s passing was a big shock to me. I never expected the untimely death of a very healthy & physically fit individual like Suzanne. But God has His plan for all of us. He has the reason for everything that happened which I, myself can't question.
Suzanne was a good Supervisor, co worker & friend. I admire her sweetness, generosity & good humor. We shared trust & true friendship. I will truly miss her.
My prayers & condolences to you & your family. May Suzanne be in the most comfortable place prepared by God for her in heaven.
Sincerely,
Pilar S. Felipe

Dear Al and Family,
I worked with Suzanne at Valley Medical Center. She was one of the kindest, and most caring individuals I have ever met, a great supervisor to her staff and one who stayed calm and in control even in the most chaotic of circumstances.
It was my privilege to work with Suzanne.
May beautiful memories comfort you through this hard time.
With prayers for you all,
Sandy (Wong) Holloway

Dear Al and Family:
Gretchen and I are so sorry to learn of your great loss.the untimely death of your dear Suzanne.
Unfortunately, we did not even know that she had been ill. That privacy, of course, is a feature we all share with ourselves, family and certain close friends.
We had so much fun on our Los Gatos China bus during our China tour of Beijing and the cities around Shanghai, then Shanghai itself. Just under 30 of us on that big bus bonded together so amazingly well.
In Shanghai, I got the tour guides mic, and made up silly comments about the features we were driving by, when Suzanne and Al conspired to loudly proclaim Freds off his medication. I actually think that the remark was ALs; Suzanne was such a sweet, classy lady and she would not say such words.
We enjoyed post trip get-togethers, and then shared stories with each other at Christmas parties at Gene (who also had an untimely death) and Mary Martins home.
We appreciated so much the long thoughtful obituary that revealed so much about this wonderful lady that we did not know. She accomplished so much and touched so many.
May God bless you Al, and your family, in your time of grief.

Al, I am so sorry to hear about Suzan .... I did not know she was fighting an illness. She seemed so healthy when I saw her walking in the morning.
Our very best to you and your family!
