Terry McKenzie Obituary
Terry M. McKenzie
Resident of Sunnyvale
71, passed away May 5, 2012 after a prolonged battle against stomach cancer. Terry is survived by his brothers, Mark, Timothy, Kevin and Rory McKenzie and their respective families.
Born in Hebron, NE, Terry grew up on farm in Hutchinson, KS. He joined the Army shortly after high school and spent three years with Army Engineers in Germany. After his tour of duty, he moved to California in 1968 and worked in several of Silicon Valley's pioneer companies such as Memorex and Melabs were he was employed as a silk screen printer for circuit boards. Terry's expertise in circuit printing dictated his career. He spent the next thirty-two years working in various prototype circuit board companies until retiring as a photo tech from Sierra Circuits in Sunnyvale in 2010.
Terry was an active member of both St. Lawrence and Our Lady of the Peace Catholic churches and was best known as a distinguished orator when serving as a lector and for his fantastic singing voice.
Terry was the iconic big brother, brother-in-law and uncle and will be sorely missed by all.
A memorial mass will be held for Terry at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Santa Clara, Tuesday, May 15, 9:30 AM

I got to know Terry through Our Lady of Peace and through praying for the unborn in front of a local Planned Parenthood. He was a good, holy man and a real staunch pro-life advocate. I was glad to have known him over the last 4 years and miss his lectoring at Our Lady of Peace.
Rest in Peace Terry - you and your family are in my prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto Terry, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

To My Uncles and Family,
Terry was a wonderful person and I will always smile at the many fond memories I have of him. I remember the time he and my dad put glow in the dark paint on their faces and scared the daylights out of me and my sleeping sisters. He gave joyously and lovingly to the Lord. May God bring peace to you in your time of sorrow.
