Thomas Normandeau Obituary

NORMANDEAU, Thomas 'Tom' Louis -- passed away April 19 in Carmel, CA, he was 53, born December 28, 1949 in Queens, NY, he has lived in Carmel for the past 8 years. He has been an educational psychologist working for the East Side Union High School District in San Jose, CA. He was a licenced educational psychologist for the state of California for private practice. He had his Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California, his Bachelor's of Science in Social Sciences from the University of California at Riverside. He graduated with Honor's from both schools. During his life Tom was a voracious reader, and avid hiker, and enthusiastic cyclist and an excellent photographer, writer, swimmer, tennis player, musician and a true intellectual. He was an intrepid traveler who traveled to 27 countries and spoke several languages. He was a 'Renaissance Man' of unparalled integrity, humor and wit and an inspiration and soulmate to his wife. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was also an advocate for every student he worked with. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laura Normandeau of Carmel, CA, and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Janet Utz of Carmel, CA. THE PAUL MORTUARY of Pacific Grove is in charge of cremation arrangements.
