Toby Haya Obituary

Toby Haya
June, 1932 - Sept. 2016
San Jose
Toby Haya passed away peacefully on Sept. 7, 2016, in Santa Clara. Born in Tampa, Fl, he grew up fishing and spending time on the water. His love of the water led him to join the US Coast Guard. He was stationed in Alameda as a Radio Operator and eventually married and raised his 2 sons, David and Steve in Oakland, and later Dublin, Ca. After receiving his degree from San Jose State, he went on to become an Auditor and Appraiser for Santa Clara County, until he retired. Toby is survived by his beloved companion and best friend Marilyn Spinner, his childhood best friend Hernie Vann, 2 sons and four grandchildren. Toby loved helping others and will be missed dearly by many. He will be scattered, in the sea he loved, with his favorite dog Lucy.

Toby was a very gentle and caring man.
I think he and Marilyn were lucky to have found each other. Frank
