I met Johnny from time to time over the years and he was always upbeat. He always had joke or funny story to tell and never let problems drag his mood down. I'll always remember this about him; it's a good way to get through any day. We friends and fellow musicians will dearly miss him.

Johnny was my cousin. I remember him playing the drums and having his 1968 Camaro. He will be greatly missed. He will be watched over by his dad, my uncle Walt. May they both rest in peace.

I as every one else who new Johnny knows what a great heart and wonderful sense of humor He had. I did attend Johnny’s service I even got up and spoke a bit at the service. But caught up in emotion of the moment I feel I did not express all my thoughts.

Johnny and I started the group the Nitecaps and it is a part of my life that I always think of and treasure. I sang and danced and Johnny played and hit a drum to every movement I made and never lost beat doing it. If I would have been thinking straight the night of his service I should of said “ the heartbeat of the Nitecaps stopped 8:30 pm one day before thanksgiving 2008” because he was the heartbeat of the Nitecaps. That is exactly what he was. Myself and all his friends’ shell miss him. Love to all his family & friends

Although I could not attend due to living out of State, my thoughts and prayers were with Johnny, his son, and family. Johnny and I played in the Roadshow band in the 80s. He was one of the kindest people I've ever met, a great sense of humor, and a great drummer. Those who knew Johnny, loved him. I will miss him dearly.
